Mission

CEF MISSION

Operating since 1998, CEF is a Russian non-profit organization providing microfinance for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) in Khabarovsk. CEF aims to be the leading microlending institution in the Russian Far East (RFE).

Because of CEF efforts thus far, small businesses in the RFE now have access to financial resources regardless of their size, credit history, or collateral availability. Partners of CEF – international organizations and donors – rely on CEF to deliver successful technical support in starting new microfinance institutions and in helping SME from all over the RFE to find access to credit.

State and local governments, as well as members of the surrounding communities, keep abreast of the advantages our activity brings to the territory’s economy while participating directly in our success through Board of Trustees.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ASPECTS OF CEF ACTIVITY

Externally, CEF assists small business development by enabling access to financial resources. The small business sector has great potential and a growing importance in the market economy.

Internally, it is understood that the success of any organization depends on its employees, on their values and principles, and on the relationships between them. Through the activities of CEF, the professional skills of the staff are always improving. In order to continuously build institutional capacity, CEF practices an aggressive strategy of recruiting, training, and retaining personnel in our organization. CEF strives to maintain an amiable working environment and create an effective corporate atmosphere structured on the principles of mutual support, trust and respect, initiative and creative encouragement.
